Justia at the Massachusetts Bar Centennial Celebration

Last week, Justia had the distinct pleasure of helping the Massachusetts Bar Association celebrate its centennial year during the Bar’s two-day annual meeting in Boston.  A variety of events took place to highlight the Bar’s century of commitment to public service and the legal profession.  I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Centennial Ball, which included a keynote speech by US Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.

Before the guests headed to dinner, I met up with our good friend Bob Ambrogi.  Along with writing his blog LawSites and hosting the weekly Lawyer2Lawyer broadcast, Bob also serves as the Secretary of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation.

Besides Bob and Justice Breyer, other local and national luminaries also attended the event, including Senator John Kerry (and apologies in advance to everyone for the blurry iPhone stalker photo . . . ) and current Newton Mayor and U.S. Senate hopeful, Setti Warren.

Our dinner was marked by a lively and amusing speech by Hennessey Award recipient Judge Nancy Gertner and Justice Breyer spoke at length (and impressively without notes) on the proud history of the legal profession in Massachusetts.  All in all, it was a wonderful evening, and again reinforced why it’s so great to work with Justia’s many Massachusetts clients!
